Organizing Metal or Plastic 35mm Slide Cases
Here are some general guidelines for organizing your 35mm slides in metal or plastic slide cases:
If your slides are in the case with the slides facing the “Lock”
then the first slide in Column #1 should face the Lock and the
emulsion will also be facing the Lock. If you pick up that first
slide, just as we see it here, and hold it up to the light, if there
was a sign in the picture, it would read WRONG.
You can divide the chapters by placing a card in-between the slides.

If your slides are in the case with the slides facing the “hinge”
then the first slide in Column #1 should face the hinge and the
emulsion will also be facing the hinge. If you pick up that first
slide, just as we see it here, and hold it up to the light, if there
was a sign in the picture, it would read WRONG.
