Order Form #1. Slide and Paper Photo Scanning

1. We scan all the slides that you send us.
2. Clean your slides with a microfiber cloth before you send them.
You will be happier with the results, if you do this.
Note to ARTISTS and JEWELERS:
YOU NEED TO CALL FOR APPROVAL TO SEND YOUR SLIDES.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND US YOUR ARTWORK SLIDES FOR SCANNING. WE WILL SEND IT BACK TO YOU UNSCANNED IF YOU DO NOT GET PRIOR APPROVAL.
We are not responsible for the final orientation of art or jewelry scans.
You must be able to rotate and flip your own final scans.
NOTE: Please use a GMAIL account, if you have one.
Other Email services may block emails with links or images in them and our messages have those to help you with your order.

We do not use your personal info for ANYTHING other than to contact you about your order.

If you have plastic slides, some of them will have "This side towards the screen" printed on the Front. This will ALWAYS be the FRONT.
Identifying the "Back" of the slide might be easier than the "Front".
Backs are pretty plain. Some will only have a number or date stamped or indented into the back.
If you can't decide front from back, look for the number on the back.
Even slides that are blank on both sides will most likely have a number on the back.
Some plastic slides will have plain white backs and a plain color front.
The Color side is ALWAYS the front.
Even though you may be able to "flip" your images and so you may not have to be careful about what side is front and what side is back, you STILL have to rotate ALL your slides to be oriented the same or they may be cropped off in scanning. ALL Portrait slides get rotated to LANDSCAPE for scanning. We will fix the rotation when we Photoshop each scan.
Watch this demonstration, below, to see how to stack your slides oriented correctlly.

#9A. Too Busy To Do Your Slide Prep?
Of course, we realize that some people really NEED help organizing their slides by stacks/folders.
But that slows us down so that we are doing file management instead of scanning. If that is what you need then you are going to have to pay to have us slow down and help you with organizing your slide collection. We want to be fair and will allow you up to two stacks of slides that have less than 20 slides in them. After that, you will have to pay an extra $2.00 per separate stack of slides with less than 20 slides. If you do not enter the correct Total Amount Of Stacks here, you will still be charged for them when we invoice you, even if you pay in “full”.
#9B I really, REALLY NEED to put my scans in SMALL FOLDERS.
We will add a 1" white margin at the bottom of each image.
This does not crop the image. It adds white.
This option will add the margin to a separate set of
images in addition to the images with no margin.

You will have to get a program to add the text to the
images. There are many free programs that can do this.

It is a good option so that you don't have to put
text onto your image and possibly cover
something important up.
Depending on the Font you use, you can
get a lot of info into this area.

Our FREE DVD Slide Show Disk will play on most DVD players but we can't guarantee that it will play on every player or that it will play forever given that different players have different video and audio codecs built into them and they will need to have the ones that we use on our disks. Your images are stored on the disk and can be pulled off onto your PC computer even if your DVD player won't play it. This is free and you are not paying for the Disk to be guaranteed to play in your player, although it should and has for 99.9% of our customers.
If you have a MAC, we can't guarantee that your MAC will play the Slide Show disk or that it will even see the images to pull them off.

If you have a MAC, you should either get the Data Disks or the Flash Drive.

#11A. Return Slides or Photos?
Our return shipping is based on weight. It should cost us close to whatever it costs you to ship to us. We can't tell until we weigh it. If you send slides in carousels and you want them back, the shipping cost will go up quite a bit.
