If someone in the past had a stereo or "3D" camera, you may have a collection of some older "3D" or stereo mounted slides. The mounts may be plastic, cardboard, or aluminum. The pictures of your wedding or other special events may be on this unique product. We do not remove the film or damage the 3D stereo film holder. These are specialty scans and the scanning process cannot be automated and have to be hand fed and necessarily are subject to a higher scanning charge.

This type of 35mm slide is intended to be looked at through a stereo viewer or projected through a special 3d stereo slide projector and viewed with special, polarized 3d glasses. If you look at a stereo 3D slide through a special 3D viewer, Stereopticon or Stereo slide projector and you see a flat image, then somebody made the 3D slide incorrectly. A good 3D slide will be able to view near, middle and distant objects in the viewer or projected when wearing special 3D glasses.

The 3D or stereo slide can be converted to view as life-size, if you have a Large Screen TV. Digital images of these long-ago relatives and friends can be viewed as if they were standing before you.
