Android: How do I change a default applications selection?

Here is a problem. Your Android device has been working good. You can scroll with your file browser and open a video file on your SD card. You make the mistake of choosing one of your many players as the "default" application to play your videos. Problem is: you chose the wrong application. How do you change things back again so you at least get to choose again.

Go to Settings -> Applications, then select the application. Scroll down and select 'Clear Defaults.' The next action you do that requires a default will ask you to select one of your applications for playing that file, if you have more than one applications for that file type installed.

If that doesn't work, uninstall the application and reinstall it. It may show up as one of the selections.
