Slide Shipping Worries?

You might be looking for a "local" camera shop to scan your slides for you because you are worried about shipping your project. What that may mean, if you find someone, is that you are still using our service because some of our customers are "local shops" and camera stores that will take your scanning project, pack it up and send it to us. We don't give them a discount but they will just jack up our prices to make a profit.

You pay more than if you dealt directly with us. You are comforted thinking that you are dealing locally, but you are not. You think your slides or photos are safe in your own home town at "ABC Company" but you have given up all ownership of them when you turn them over to a second party and then they ship for you. The shipping company has no idea who you are or that they have "your" slides or photos. All they know is that they have a shipment from "ABC Company". If "ABC Company" goes out of business in the process, you will not get those slides and photos back from the shipper.

If you are doing the shipping yourself, the shipping company knows that you are the owner of that shipment. Its something to think about. Local camera stores just do not have the equipment to do this job properlly and so they have to farm the work out to companies such as ours. You are better off dealing directly with us and having someone you can call to check on your job or ask questions. We have been in business since 2002 and, during that time, we have NEVER had anything lost being sent to us or being returned.

You are really better off dealing directly with our service rather than through a middle man that is going to pay our prices and then charge you even more so they can make a profit.
